bruised it on new year's eve. reggie kumar was at the hearing and is live at city hall with details. >> reporter: eliana lopez was questioned by the city attorney here at city hall for about two hours. she kept clarifying and contradicting past statements she made before and after the incident. she was asked repeatedly by the deputy city attorney about another domestic violence incident she had with her husband in march, 2011. she said she was referring to past marriage problems with her husband and didn't want to lose custody of their son. lopez said neighbor, ivory madison, recorded the video to ruin her husband's future. >> i said is this the second time this is happening, and i was referring to our fight. the moment when i started to cry is when i taught about theo. that

commissions. the board will decide mirkarimi's fate some time after august 16th. nine of the 11 supervisors have to vote against the sheriff to remove him from office. >> lopez and her attorney made a brief statement as they left city hall. lopez says she wants to be with her husband again, and her lawyer said they planned to take steps to make that happen. >> it was great to see ross. and i just cannot wait, the moment we are going to be together. ross, you and me, here in san francisco. and i just looking for the day that i'm going to be just the sheriff's wife again. >> what i'm going to ask the judge to do is modify the order to allow peaceful contact. they're not going to ever dismiss the entire order tomorrow. i'll ask, i don't think they will. but just to have peaceful contact would be great. >> the ethics committee is

going to meet again august 16th. it is being called the largest child porn sweep ever in northern california. a task force of law enforcement officers spent the entire day issuing warrants, and all 15 people were arrested. and there could be more arrests in store. rob was with police. >> reporter: more than 130 police officers fanned out across the south bay early thursday armed with 20 search warrants. this man taken into custody without incident in san jose, among the first to be arrested. police have evidence he is guilty of dealing in illegal online child pornography. >> cases like these are often started through decoy operations online. people think they're trading peer to peer when they're actually trading it with an undercover police officer.

>> reporter: arrest no. 2 occurred here. these are computer hard drives and other evidence taken. >> the officers can pretty much search just about everywhere in the house for anything that would lead them to believe that there is an electronic child pornography being stored on that device. >> reporter: another search warrant resulted in the arrest of this man. officers could be seen looking at suspected child pornography images on a computer seized in the raid. >> they take the hard drive, walk out to the front yard, put it in the van, and they can go through the hard drive right there >> reporter: the task force will be going through all those drives in the days ahead which could lead to still more arrests. the suspects lead to more felony charges for possession and distribution of

illegal child pornography. san jose police released the photos of these nine suspects arrested thursday morning during operation chicken hawk. the first is a 30-year-old computer engineer, arrested in his home on luna park drive. next is a 53-year-old retired plumber. next 22-year-old lorenzo ical, cal villa. 31-year-old mark florez was also taken in in his home in santa claire a. 27-year-old tom trong is a software engineer arrested on infan way in san

about that. >> and i'm glad they were taken care of the way they were. >> police say there might be more arrests to come. kron4 will continue to cover this story. temperatures were warmer out there today just as we expected. it was only a couple degrees of warming. our inland valleys were back to a 80s in a couple spots. 80 in napa, and in the 70s for the most part around the bay area this afternoon. as we hook ahead to tomorrow, the fog -- look ahead to tomorrow, the fog will push back into the coastline. tomorrow afternoon, sunny skies and warmer temperatures. a warming trend will continue into into the weekend.

barry bonds is trying to overturn his obstruction of justice conviction. prosecutors are asking a court to uphold the

decision. paperwork filed today claims the conviction against the former giants star should stand because he gave false and misleading testimony that was in a federal investigation on steroid use in 2003. a jury convicted bonds of obstruction of justice last year. a 3-judge panel will issue a decision later this year on that appeal. >> we've been enjoying mild weather , but conditions are about to heat up.

, but conditions are about to heat up. the latest on the "speed freak killers" case. soon wesley shermantine will be escorted to possible grave sites. he and his friend were convicted of several murders in the '80s and 90s. herzog committed suicide after being released from prison. jerry brown has authorized his release from prison to help authorities find more grave sites. >> reporter: this is cal mountain recreational area, extremely large, full of rucked terrain. it is 52,000 akers and stretches over -- acres over two different counties.

underway in sonoma county. a body was found today. authorities got a report about a gunshot on reclamation road. police are not releasing details yet. bart police are investigating the body of a woman found near the dublin/pleasanton station in the bushes near a parking garage. investigators were on scene for several hours taking pictures, talking to witnesses. they have not released any details yet. how does the conch sept of getting tax -- concept of getting taxed on every mile you drive in the bay area sound? members of the association of bay area governments are scheduled to vote on a long-range study looking at the merits of a tax-based system on how many miles you drive in the 9-county region. the idea is still in the early stages but it

would require drivers to install gps-like odometers and pay a penny to a dime for every mile driven. the idea is to raise money for roads and public transits but they admit it is going to be a hard sell. temperatures at this hour are cool close to the coastline, in the 50s away from the coastline. fairly mild in places like antioch, 65 there, 60 in pleasanton and livermore. 60s in the south bay. in the overnight hours, the fog is going to settle into the bay shores. tomorrow afternoon, temperatures a little warmer than today's. and then winds out of the north pick up saturday into sunday, and that keeps fog at bay while we see warmer conditions in the inland valleys, back into the 90s. i do think we're going to see fog for the north bay coastline because it's already there right now. it's not going anywhere. we're probably going to also see it through the delta region as well.

the 9:00 hour shows little clearing. then into the later morning hours and the early afternoon, the fog scales back. temperatures tomorrow are going to be a little bit warmer than what we saw today. more 80-degree readings in the south bay. more 80-degree readings in the inland valleys. 90 degrees antioch and pleasanton. 70s for the east bay shores. 60s along the coastline. back into the 80s in the north bay locations, 86 in napa, 82 in petaluma. your extended forecast, tomorrow the fog is still in tact. as winds pick up saturday and sunday, the fog will clear. could see a little fog along the coastline. but away from the coastline, bay shores even will be clear into saturday and sunday. and that's going to lead to warmer temperatures. but the fog returns into tuesday, and that means cooler temperatures will be back into the bay area.

be careful about openingly e-mails that -- opening e-mails that claim you've been tagged in a facebook photo. they might be malware. >> reporter: there's over 3 hundred million pictures a day uploaded to facebook. if they have you in them, you want to know about it. we all like getting that e-mail from facebook saying you've been tagged. just be careful. that curiosity could back fire. for a lot of us, it is common to receive an e-mail seemingly from facebook letting you know someone tagged you in a photo they just posted. security experts have discovered a spam e-mail campaign that is tricking people and infecting their computers with malware. the sam e-mails look -- spam e-mails look just like the real ones. if you click on the link inside

one of the spam e-mails, you could infect your computer with malware. if you think you've received one, check for red flags like misspells or grammatical errors, and hover your mouse over the link to make sure it is taking you to the genuine facebook site. go to the settings on facebook and turn off e-mail notifications. you might as well do this anyway. when you go to your facebook account, they let you know right away that you've been tagged in photos. >> the giants go for the sweep in atlanta while the as battle the mighty yankees at the coliseum.
